Manuel Blanco
Hola Amigos!
Manuel was born and raised in Colombia! He started working in the P&O profession when he was only 16 years old. He fell in love with the profession and wanted to seek a formal education in the field, but the program was not available in his country at the time. He then studied and trained to be a Prosthetist and Orthotist at the Don Bosco University in El Salvador, where he graduated as an Orthotics and Prosthetic Technician ISPO II. After many opportunities at various clinics, including an Ottobock healthcare facility he eventually ran his own clinic in Colombia.
Wanting a better life for his family he and his wife, along with their two daughters, immigrated to Canada in 2022.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, walking to explore their new city and to cook “arepas con queso”…a traditional Colombian meal, while also contemplating the climate and its changes which is so much different than his home country.
Manuel is currently working with WinPO in a Technical role.
